JOB TITLE | Administrative & Social Media Intern

DURATION | Performance-based

LOCATION | Harrington House, 37 Barrack Street, Cape Town

SALARY | Based on Experience & Industry

HOURS | Full-Time (9 AM - 4:30 PM) & Over-Time (As Needed)




• General assistance (Schedules, RSVP's, Travel, & more)

• Answer incoming calls & undertake follow-ups

• Handle all external & internal queries

• Taking of minutes during meetings

• Preparation of docs & information for meetings / events

• Administration of Membership Database & Emailers

• Administrating & archiving of documents

• Monitor & purchase office supplies & equipment

• General Workshop Assistance

• Management of Quotes, Invoices & Staff Claims

• ADHOC Tasks


• Daily social media posting on ALL types of platforms

• Real-time posting during all events

• Design of graphics for platforms using Adobe Programs

• ADHOC Tasks

REQUIREMENTS | (Non-negotiable)

• 1+ years’ experience in Business- & Social Media Administration

• 3+ year Business / Marketing degree from a tertiary institution

• OWN Vehicle & Valid Driver’s License

• Smartphone capable of social media posting & photography

• FULL Microsoft Office Knowledge (PPT, WORD, EXCEL)

• Basic Photoshop Skills

• Excellent Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent Telephonic & Writing Skills

• Excellent Conflict Management Skills

• Excellent Time Management Skills

• Excellent Financial / Mathematical Skills

Please note that you will be trained to adapt to business as usual activities, however, due to urgency we do not have time to train you to use Photoshop & Microsoft programmes. Only apply if you have substantial experience using it.


Is confident, organised, punctual, honest, reliable, performs well under pressure, is able to multitask & has an impeccable work ethic. We are looking for someone who can handle very difficult situations & people. Someone who takes ownership & does not need to be reminded of tasks. We need someone who is proactive & thorough.
